Native American communities, working families and small business owners in the Gulf Coast region of Louisiana have been particularly hard hit by the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill. It has been estimated that the Louisiana Gulf Coast will lose upwards of $2.1 billion in economic activity in 2010 alone. The Native American communities will bear the brunt of this economic devastation.

A collective group of Native American tribes and communities affected by the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill have sought the expertise and experience of Fiduciary Management Group, LLC, (FMG) to assist their members through the claims process. This joint effort between tribal leadership and FMG aims to assist these individuals with data preparation and loss projections, as well as help cut through the bureaucracy and confusion associated with such an effort. These individuals consist of small business owners, deck hands, fishermen, oystermen, shrimpers, shuckers and the like.
